Snow, Snow & more Snow

Can see us being snowed in for over a week at least. Steep hill covered in packed snow - where the 4x4's have crushed it down, no chance for us 2 wheel drives to get out. We're gonna be stuck for some time. Too much even to clear by hand.

All I seem to do at the moment is create and update websites.

this one has been taking up most of my time. As I try and launch myself into the world of wedding photography. Scary. But I can't help but love wedding pictures. Its one day where everyone makes an effort to look their very best.

Moments in Time

What is a photograph - if not a Moment in Time

Its what every photograph I have ever aspired to take is all about. Capturing that amazing moment in time when all the elements are just right and being able to go back to the image and remember that special moment. Its the lighting, the expression on someone's face, the way someone was standing, the emotion in their face, its so many things. But it is always essentially a moment in time.

3D Films

Saw Coraline in 3d a month or so ago, fantastic. Well worth seeing. Not only is it a beautiful film in itself, the way the 3d is used is amazing and really adds an incredible depth to the picture, without being gimicky. Unfortunately I've just found out that the DVD version which includes a 3d disc and glasses, does not have the same 3d. Its the old style red and green affair, which is horrible and muddy in comparison to the new effects achieved with polarised 3d (I must look up how they do that now).

Have also just seen Up - by disney/pixar. Another great use of 3d without spoiling the film. Great film as well, really sentimental and funny and thought provoking. Especially considering its a kids film. My partner and I both loved it. Especially the dogs. Squirrel!

Well, here we go, the start of my new Blog. I wonder where it will take me. The adventure begins now, lets hope its a good one.
